The scale of charges for our Services; and we are highly attentive to the SERVICE aspect of this Website, are based on the lines of other Sales and Auction Houses as far as percentages of premiums are concerned.

Our main differences however are that we have kept the rules as simple as possible and a great number of other costs which you would normally have 'added on' to your final bill are in fact absorbed by us within the Premiums charged. I will expand on this later, but Michael Kaplan has over the years learnt that a "What you see is what you pay" approach is the one most people feel comfortable with and enjoy.

IF YOU ARE A SELLER:-

We charge a standard 15% Seller's Premium. However, if you are a supportive Dealer or have an exciting collection to offer; that percentage WILL BE REDUCED.
PLEASE contact Michael Kaplan in this regard. On a good day he is known to be quite generous!!

Now that this Website has been running for almost two and a half years and had nearly 250 000 clients visit it; we are able, with confidence, to offer various alternatives to sellers so that they can get the BEST possible prices for any items of their Militaria that they wish to dispose of.

While a high percentage of the items we have sold in the past have come from our own stock; as sales have increased, more and more people have brought their goods to us for sale on the AMC with great effect. It has not been uncommon for us to list something here in Johannesburg  and have it purchased by a Collector in the United Kingdom WITHIN 24 HOURS!!

The beauty of using the AMC as your first line of sale is that you can CHOOSE your own selling price and go as high as you think the market will take. If you need advice herein, we will be happy to help you.

All you have to do is consign your items to us for MICHAEL KAPLAN’s Attention. He will check over your goods and any written detail which you may have provided in order to do a good listing. A “What you see is what you pay” Listing Price will be finalized with you. All the buyer pays above that Price is the cost of Carriage to him. You, the Seller, will in due course receive this Listing Price, less the Buyer’s and Seller’s Premiums as have been, between us, decided.

Should an item NOT sell within a reasonable period then we can either reduce it in price a fraction, and maybe put it in the “Bargain Bin” or place it on our NEXT AUCTION. Please ‘Click’ onto NEXT AUCTION on the HOME PAGE and scroll down and read our last Auction Report to see some of the excellent results that we have achieved for our Clients.

So, Should you require a quick sale and wish to bypass the AMC entirely……NOT a PROBLEM……Just consign your items to us…..with any further information that you think might help towards a better sale, along with your RESERVE, and we will get on with the job.

With these various options open to you; you are assured of a “BEST POSSIBLE” result.

IF YOU ARE A BUYER:-

The FIRST thing that you need to do is REGISTER as a MEMBER.Having done that……should you wish to purchase an item……you simply follow the instructions as CLEARLY laid out. We, this end will pick up your PURCHASE and/or PURCHASES. Once you have triggered YOUR PURCHASE/S…….then the Listing/s will FLASH in RED that the SALE is BEING NEGOTIATED.We will then E-mail you an Invoice, the TOTAL of which will be the sum of your purchases PLUS the cost of INSURED CARRIAGE to the Address of your choice.On our Invoice you will find VARIOUS PAYMENT OPTIONS. You can then choose the one that is most convenient for you. Once we have received payment…….then the GOODS will be dispatched and we shall e-mail you a TRACKING NUMBER should it be required. To keep matters SIMPLE we have decided to do ALL OUR Transactions in RAND. At the end of the day…….we have found that this causes LESS problems for everyone. Also the RAND has been running fairly Strong and Steady over these last months and its ratio to the major currencies, the Dollar and the Pound, remains constant.
