This Receipt in the Amount of 205 Pounds and 19 Pence is numbered 6102 and was given by the GOVERNMENT DISCOUNT BANK of the Cape of Good Hope on the 6th of July 1838.

To the left hand side we see that it was printed by Royston & Brown, Printers, 40, Old Broad Street, LONDON......Their Agent in South Africa being Ewan Christian of Cape Town.
