Have no fear...This Grenade will NOT go off!!!! Michael tells me that they were easy to de-activate. Hence the reason why the lads during WW2 were able to bring them back as souvenirs.

Our South African Troops first came across these in the East African Campaign.......Ethiopia.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- They were used by the Italians from around 1936 or maybe even before. This one is in very nice condition...as you can see from the photo. It weighs in at around just over 100 grams. It is 55 mm across and 94 mm in height.
