Rademeyer was given an IMMEDIATE Commission into the Indian Service Corps due to his knowledge of Trucks with International Harvester.

He went on to command his own unit in Cyrenacia as a Temporary Major having served in Kenya, Uganda, Abyssinia, Egypt and North Africa.
