AN AFRICA STAR GROUP OF FOUR
The Group comes with five photostat pages of the record cards for 214383 WILLEM BRUWER.
He came from 39, Edward Street, Port Elizabeth. He gave his age as being 30 and having been born on the 1st of Novemeber 1910. He had been a 'Checker' with the South African Railways.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- He was posted as a Private into the S.A.Transport Corps on the 6th of January 1941 to Kafferskraal.
He did go north to get his Africa Star but was back into Hospital with Chronic Neurosis in September of 1941.
A Short stay in the army to get four medals.........He was finally discharged on the 15th of December 1941..........In time to have Christmas at home with his wife after having not being in the army for a year but getting in a trip up to the Middle East!!!!!
