AUBREY LIONEL HENDRICKS was born on the 18th of April 1918 and was 26 years of age when he attested on the 8th of February 1941.

We are able to include Photostat Pages of 7 Cards which give considerable detail.
"Quartermaster's Comment":-  As you can see from the photo, our man was entitled to the 8th ARMY CLASP which for his Africa Star was confirmed to him on 7/9/44. He was made up to be a Temporary Lance Corporal on 1/4/42.
He had left for the Middle East on 23/6/41 and Disembarked at Port Tewfik on 11/7/41. There is considerable coverage on his time in Service. He finally left the Army on 9/1/46.
His 4 Medals are all named to him 192867  A. L. HENDRICKS. Note how he very carefully 'Doctored' the Stars and given them a 'Bar' for the Ribbon in place of the Rings as were issued. This has been very neatly done.
