A WW 2 GROUP OF FOUR TO A SOUTH AFRICAN IN THE S.A.E.C.
E-mail
Being a Plumber by trade it was not surprising that HENRY JOHN LOWTON found himself in the S.A.E.C.
Our man was 42 years of age when he called up almost as soon as the war started. He was born back on the 20th of June 1896. His Army Number was 19847 and his Medals are so named to H.J. LOWTON.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- We are able to include photostats of six cards from his file. He spent a fair amount of time in East Africa, going up to Mogadisio. His papers confirm his Medals which as you can see from the photo are in perfect condition and have been nicely 'Court Mounted' for display. He was finally discharged from the Army on 6/1/47.
