A SOUTH AFRICAN WW2 GROUP OF FOUR WITH AN ITALY STAR.
Mr F.W.Fensham missed the Desert Campaign and went direct to Italy for the last bit of the War.
We have here two letters from the War Records Office......I dated 17 OCT 1945 and the Second dated 22-1-1951. The Second confirms his full Medal Entitlement.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- As you can see from the photo......His Medals are MINT and have never been mounted up for wear. We are even able to include his original mailing envelope. The Stars even have their original 'Gilt' bloom and are clearly named 209800 F.W. FENSHAM ..........as are his War and Africa Service Medals. They were posted to him at 50, Wilhelmina Street, Troyville, Johannesburg.
Research would have been nice. |
