"Quartermaster's Comment":- He Attested into the INDIAN MALAY CORPS at Johannesburg on the 15th of January 1941.......For 'Age' he said that he was born in 1915.
He was posted to the 87th Field Company and embarked from Durban for the 'North' on the S.S.MAURILAND on the 10th of August 1941.
He came back to the Union with the 1st Field Company and went to Ladysmith on the 24th of January 1943........and from there to the S.A.E.C. at Spitzkop.
His Medals need a good clean......Michael has put them in at Very Fine. As you can see from the photos.........they still have their old ribbons.........If the buyer needs new ones........we can make a plan.
Note that he was entitled to an 8th Army Clasp.......and a copy of same will be provided.
Reading his Record......He was a naughty boy at times......but nothing serious......He was finally discharged on the 31st of January 1946.
