Corporal William Thomas TAYLOR was a Motor Driver from Cape Town; having been born on the 18th of July 1903.
"Quartermaster's Comment":-  Being from Cape Town he first went into the "Dukes"......The D.E.O.R. He was with them in both East Africa.....up through Abysinnia and into Egypt. He later served with G.P.C....J.R.D. at Premier Mine and moved to the S.A.C.M.P. being with their No.1 Provost Company at Wynberg. He was made up to Corporal on 24/7/42......This would have been when he joined the Military Police. He was finally discharged on the 6th of June 1948. Michael has the group down as being Extra Fine. His first Number with the 'Dukes' was No. 145656.
