LONDON COUNCIL BRONZE 'GOOD ATTENDANCE' MEDAL FOR 1911/12.
E-mail
We are putting this medal in with Medals for the First World War, because that is when it would have been worn.
As you can see from the photo.......this little bit of nonsense has been very well struck......with a very nice depiction of George 'V' to the fore with the statement around the edge...."THE KING'S MEDAL". There is a signature which looks a bit like 'FRANCO' below the bust......not easy to read and we could have got it wrong. On the rear we have the full reason why the Counsellor concerned got his 'Gong'. 'AWARDED BY THE LONDON COVNTY COVNCIL FOR ATTENDANCE, CONDVUCT AND INDVSTRY DVRING THE YEAR'......In this case this medal has the clasp for the year/s 1911-12. The rim has been impressed with the awardee.......in this case......F. SHEARING.
