A BRONZE CROSS OF RHODESIA; EXCELLENT UN-NAMED EXAMPLE.
Michael tells me that you can see by the detail that this is a very good example of this medal.
While we have no history on this example........we can say that by the detail of such things as the lion in the centre; that it was almost certainly from stock that was struck back before 1980.........NOT one that got bashed out after the war. "Quartermaster's Comment":- Please refer back to my Auction Report for Auction B 47; which took place on February the 17th of this year. Lot C 163......(See the photo)......was a Bronze Cross and G.S.M. Pair to a Second Lieutenant Roggero Enrica CARLONI of 3 (Independent) Company of the Rhodesian Regiment. The Pair had a Reserve of R 8 000-00 but was finally knocked down for R 29 000-00. |
