A FINE VICTORIAN CAMPAIGN GROUP OF THREE FOR EGYPT & BURMA.
E-mail
A well documented group of three to a Sergeant in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Each Medal retains excellent clarity to the naming. Michael confirms the Group as being undoubtably Extra Fine.
Whenever we have the MYB No.131......(Egypt Medal of 1882-89)......and the MYB No.132......(Khedives's Star 1884-86).......anywhere near each other......The fear is for the damage as may have been done to the naming!!!!!
Whether it is because the India General Service Medal......MYB No.117......came between them to help......but the naming to 1668 JAMES WESTCOTT of the DUKE OF CORNWALL'S LIGHT INFANTRY is neat and crisp. He is a Corporal in the 2nd Bn. on the Nile and a Sergt. in Burma.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- I don't think that we could offer a more "Kosher" Trio of Victorian Campaign Medals. They are fully backed with Four Pages of Photostats of the W.O. Rolls that confirm the entitlements.
