An interesting bit of Southern African Military nonsense. This Medal was issued when The Transkei went through a bit of an "UPSET"!!!!

As most of you know the Transkei was in the fore-front of the Old South Africa's Homeland policy.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- It was in the last quarter of 1987 that there was a bit of a Military Coup. For this Occassion we have the attached medal........which was issued to all troops in the then Transkei Military. Michael tells me that he thinks that certain South African Troops also wore it.......for giving a helping hand in seeing everything sorted out!!!!!!
