As you can see from the photo......This Neck Badge has been very nicely mounted up for display.
"Quartermaster's Comment":-  From around 1954 the recipient could choose to have either a 'Neck' or a 'Breast' Badge to wear.
They were first awarded to Ugandan Chiefs back in 1922, during the reign of George the Fifth.........but they later spread through 14 Territories in East and West Africa.
The concept of the award fell away during the 1980's but I am sure that many an old chief wore his with pride long after that!!!!
