A NICE LONG SERVICE PAIR TO A SOUTH AFRICAN POLICEMAN.
E-mail
A nice long serving pair to a South African Policeman who served from 1935 through to 1951 when it looks as if he was proposed for the Rank of Sub-Inspector but then retired.

The Medals of Christian HATTINGH come with two very complete pages of the copies of his "C" Form B Record of Service. He spent most of his Career down in East London. He Attested at Pretoria on the 1st of March 1935, having come up from Grahamstown to do so. He married on the 2nd of March 1946 at East London.

"Quartermaster's Comment":- The Medals are impressed with his service number of 16596 (V). and his Rank of S/SERGT.

There is a small chip to the enamel on the Star of Merit but this could be easily repaired. Hence the pair coming in at a very good price. Carl will sort the new owner with Ribbons.
