COLONIAL POLICE FORCES MEDAL FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE. EIIR.
This is the version with the 'Tudor Crown' which was issued between 1954 and 1980. "Quartermaster's Comment":- It is the DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. Version. We are told that the idea was that only 150 of these medals were to issued in any one year. It was highly prized in the British Colonial Police Service. You had to be a pretty clean and tidy policeman to get it!!!!
