Please note that this is the third tier of this Decoration. It follows on from the Second Tier in bright polished Silver and as you can see comes in a 'Matt' Silver finish.

Note also that the Ribbon is different to the two previous grades of this Medal.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- The Medal was instituted on the 5th of July 1963 but made retrospective to the 31st of May 1961.
