A very nicely made medal by SPINK & SON, 5, KING STREET, LONDON, S.W.1.

When we look at the date...(1960)...it is hard to believe that this medal was struck in London one half of a century ago!!!!!
At that time I am sure that many had higher hopes for Africa than we see today?

To the fore we have REPUBLIC OF GHANA and to the Reverse we have REPUBLIC DAY 1 JULY 1960......with GHANA POLICE circled to the Centre.
