WORLD WAR TWO CARBON FIBRE VERSION OF STANDARD TIN HAT.
This is the Black/Dark version of the Standard "Tin Hat" but made in a 'War Economy' Carbon Fibre and a lot lighter all though it looks exactly like the original. "Quartermaster's Comment":- I have been told that this helmet came out in about 1943 and was as issued to the likes of Warden's and Fire Watch Personnel who were on duty during the Blitz. I was about 4 years old at the time!!!! A bit of history. Comes complete with its lining. Would tidy up quite nicely.
