It was when(then)Major General Patton was commanding this Army in North Africa that he started to make his name!!!

North Africa 7th of April 1943 Patton takes command.
"Quartermaster's Comment":-  13th of May Tunisia surrendered. Then Operation "Husky" to invade Sicily.....which fell on the 17th of August. General A. Patch then took command of the 7th Army. They invaded the French Riviera in Operation "Anvil".
