SOUTH AFRICAN 1st SPECIAL SERVICES BATTALION.
Although it only goes back to 1934, this is, we understand, the senior Cavalry Regiment in the South African Army. "Quartermaster's Comment":- There are two issues to this Flash--The 1st or "White" type and the 2nd or "Silver" type. This looks like the Silver Type. This Regiment has quite a history.
