This badge would have been worn by the'elite'of 44 Parachute Brigade.

We find this Badge as No. F 25 in Colin Owen's Book.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- When I quizzed Michael as to when this Badge was used......He gave around 1978 as a date......but said that the badge might still in fact be in use by South Africa's Pathfinder Paratroops?? 
Quite a nice item to those of you out there who collect to "Special Forces".
