This item really is a gem....very rarely seen and a fine bit of antiquity.

We DO know that this item came from Natal.......from an old family down there.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- I think that we may have seen only ONE of these in the past.......and that was a long time ago......A real Antique from the ZULU War. Sadly the stopper is missing......but a substitute could easily be made.......One Metal Support is a little loose......but can easily be fixed.
We think that it was made out of Yellow Wood......which will polish up beautifully.
We will not be seeing another one of these for a long time!!!!!!
