We think that this S.O.S.Mirror was in fact made in France...as the instructions for use are in French as well as English.

We have a bit of hearsay and gossip that this item came from Durban and might have been with 1 Recce down there??????
"Quartermaster's Comment":- The mirror has seen a bit of wear.....almost certainly from being rubbed when carried. The Instructions.......where we can read them are......Mirror SOS Type 644......1. Reflect Sunlight from Mirror onto a nearby Surface
2. Slowly bring Mirror up level and look through sighting? Hole, you will see........light spot. This is the.........tor.
Sorry but the rest is lost. I am not going to bother you with the Reverse Side Instructions which are in French!!!!!.......It weighs in at less than 50 grams and is 5 X 5 cms in size only. Take a close look at the Photo.
