We put this under 'Miscellaneous' but there is nothing miscellaneous about it!!!! A Real Gem from Rhodesia and those sad times...but told with a laugh.

Note from the photo how the Front Page has that CLASSIC Cartoon which appeared in the Herald on the 3rd of November 1978 on the occasion when the Rhodesian Air Force went in to deal with a few 'Naughty' bases in Zambia......The Caption read "Control Tower to 'Green Leader'. Will that be the same message as last time?".
During the First Raid on terrorist bases in Zambia a Rhodesian Aircraft circled Lusaka Airport and instructed the Control Tower to keep all planes on the ground while the Rhodesian raid was on. This led to incoming flights having to be diverted!!!!!
"Quartermaster's Comment":- Heaven knows when we will see another of these......I almost bought it myself!!!! The pages are not numbered but there must be over 100 pages of superb cartoons. It is headed 'A CARTOON HISTORY OF RHODESIA compiled by CLARE KELLY EDWARDS......1965 - 1979. Lots of fun about Smith and Wilson as depicted in fine cartoons by the likes of Giles, Cummings and JAK......Along with many others of that time. Printed in Rhodesia at Bulawayo by Marden Printers and Published in March 1979 by HANSEL BOOKS of Salisbury. Weighs in at around 220 grams and measures 254 X 190 mm. All round in very fair condition with no tares or scribbles.
An absolute classic......We are NOT going to be able to offer this again for a long time!!!!!
