SILVER I.D.BRACELET FOR ACTING SGT D.M.CLARK.
Both the actual bracelet and the clip have been stamped by the maker E.T.+ S T G * L. On the actual bracelet we have neatly engraved.....No. 264221......A/SGT D M CLARK.......C of E.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- I rather get the impression that this bracelet was made in South Africa during/for World War Two. Firstly the length of the I.D. Number......264221 rather points in that direction. Also......a lot of Articles made in Sterling Silver in South Africa at that time often just had.......STERLING......or STG on them. South Africa was not very INTO proper Silver Marks.
Nevertherless a nice item, which will polish up nicely. |
