Something of which there cannot be very many still around and on offer. This superb set could be up to 100 years old!!!!!

Within these next few lots we have an offering of THREE different types of 'Mess' Glass as was used by the Southern Rhodesian Volunteers.........Bristol 'Green' Topped Wine Glasses.........Smaller Clear Wine Glasses.........and Sherry Glasses.
"Quartermaster's Comment":-  In this first offering we have a Set of Six Wine Glasses.........To cover 'Sod's Law' we are including a spare seventh glass.........This one has a couple of VERY SMALL chips to the base.........but will come in handy for the host to use if one of the others gets broken on a 'Mess Night'!!!!.
I will not try and go into the full history of the S.R. Volunteers save to mention their Dates......1896 through to 1920.
