SOUTHERN RHODESIA BRASS WW2 MARKSMAN'S PROFICIENCY BADGE.
E-mail
As I am sure you all know there are MANY types of Marksman's Proficiency Badges. Some are easy to define because if the colour arrangement. "Quartermaster's Comment":- I have been told that this 4 lugged Brass Crossed S.M.L.E Rifles Badge came out in the 1930's and was worn on the sleeve. It was later, in some units, worn as a Musketry Instructors Badge. It definitely dates back to World War Two. One notes that just to keep the design tidy, the rifle on the right has the bolt on the left for a 'South Paw' shot!!!
