SOUTH AFRICAN NORTH WEST COMMAND BADGE CENTRE.
This would appear to be a badge centre for Headquarters of North West Command. "Quartermaster's Comment":- Michael thinks that this was for the 'Signals' Section. I almost got it wrong but please NOTE that the handles for the pick and the shovel go to the top. An interesting little item. It appears to have been made by "Metal Art" of Pretoria and looks as if it never got into circulation.
