Here we have a nice early embroidered on metal example of this 'Half Wing' with Pin Fittings.

"Quartermaster's Comment":- It is about 8 cms at the widest. Pinned on for better dress wear. Do NOTE that there are MANY Variations......but this looks to me like Owen No. 164.....or maybe 165. Dudley Wall shows an example as No. 11 on Page 59 of his book. We think that this badge was in use from around 1985 into the 1990's.
