"Quartermaster's Comment":- This White Metal Badge is in perfect condition and is of particular interest to us here in South Africa when we note the associations that this Regiment has with our Witwatersrand Rifles. When South Africa became a "Republic" and certain 'Cultural' changes took place many Regiments were forced to drop their crowns. In this case the Wits Rifles kept......in its place......the "Mullet" from their sister Regiment in Scotland.
