This Badge actually ran from 1940.....but the Twin Scew Posts which act as its fitting show us that it was in use after World War Two.......probably in the 1960's.

"Quartermaster's Comment":- Note how South Africa.....with all its changes.......still retained the "Flaming Grenade". The Engineers still kept 9 Flames and of course the Motto "UBIQUE", Latin for 'Everywhere'. The Artillery use the same motto......but have always said that in the Engineers, Ubique translates to "All over the Place"!!!!!!!
