BRITISH ROYAL MARINES KING'S CROWN WITH CROWNED LION.
E-mail
This is the famous standard cap badge which has been worn by these great soldier/sailors from around the early turn of the century to when the crown changed to that of King Edward for EIIR in 1958. "Quartermaster's Comment":- The Guardsmen were always amused that the Marines needed to have the continents spelt out on the map of the world on their cap badge. They said that they were so dim that they needed the map to show them where they were!!! Ouch.
