BRITISH ROYAL CORPS OF SIGNALS, KING'S CROWN.
A nice crisp example of this well known badge which was worn during World War Two. "Quartermaster's Comment":-The South Africans copied this badge for their Signals Corps. Notice how 'Mercury' is carrying a caduceus, which of course as you all know is the Greek or Roman herald's wand as carried by such messengers of the Gods!!!
