This fine old Regiment was more fully styled THE KING'S OWN ROYAL REGIMENT (LANCASTER). The 4th. They were formed as the 2nd Tangier Regiment in 1680, having been known as The Duchess of York and Albany's Regiment of Foot, by Royal Warrant of February the 6th of 1684. This badge has seen a bit of action, hence the reduced price.
